This is Amelia's first featured coffee from Brazil! Lately I've been drawn more to East African coffee, but this one's really special because it's such a great representation of it's origin. Like other high quality Brazilian coffee, it's nutty and smooth with a lovely fruit sweetness to give it a nice balance.
The thing I love most about Kenyan coffee is the syrupy texture that seems to coat my mouth every time I drink it. To me it's like sipping velvet from a cup. This Kenyan in particular is so sweet and fruity that when I have it in the morning it feels like I'm getting my juice and coffee at once.
Taste Notes: Complex and syrupy with notes of blackberry + lime candy
How the coffee bean is extracted from the cherry makes a huge difference in how the coffee tastes! Simply washing the cherry off the bean tends to leave a cleaner, more balanced profile. But for this coffee, the cherry was allowed to naturally fall off the bean, giving it a more unique, well-ripened, even boozy taste in the cup!
